The seo experts of one of the leading Web Design Agency Dubai say that people think when it comes to search engine optimization they can go to any lengths and will stoop down to any level possible to attain top search engine rankings without paying any mind to the penalties or repercussions. Website owners just to get the desired search engine visibility succumb to questionable search engine optimization practices that are in marketing terms referred to as “Black Hat SEO”.

Search engines like the sheriffs of the states have a list of algorithms with set criteria to monitor the methods website owners and online marketers use to promote and rank their website and if they sense that your seo practices are questionable and shady, they’ll straight out ban your website from the search engine results or at the least penalize it for using practices that don’t fit with their guidelines. Bait and Switch advertising is the most popular and widely used Black Hat SEO that online marketers are using increasingly without paying heed to the consequences. Due to the widespread use of this Black Hat SEO technique in many countries “Bait and Switch” has been declared illegal through different forms of consumer protection legislation. In the United States people have the right to file a lawsuit against a person or website using this false advertising technique.

Now, for those who are not familiar with bait and switch, here is an explanation just for you.

This is what Wikipedia says about it.

“Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts. First, customers are “baited” by merchants advertising products or services at a low price, but when customers visit the store, they discover that the advertised goods either are not available or are not as good as expected, or the customers are pressured by sales people to consider similar, but higher-priced, items (“switching”).”

Bait and Switch is the most deceptive form of marketing that usually ends with upset customers. Online companies employ this downright fraudulent practice with the objective of luring customers into buying a product they are interested in but for a different price than what was advertised. This is nothing but baiting the customers and later on coercing them into switching or buying something else for a much higher price than the original item that grabbed their attention.

There is no way websites get overlooked by search engines for employing such practices since they are constantly on the lookout for unethical strategies.
